I’m giving it three stars because it was great until the hinge broke. The hinge broke because you really need four people pulling from each corner when setting it up. With only two people, it puts quite a bit of strain on the hinges and can cause them to break. I also agree that the canopy material is a bit thin, and mine did develop a tear. Overall, I’d say this product is decent—good at best—but you have to be very gentle and careful with it to avoid damaging it.

We have had this canopy for 3 years and it has been heavily used. It is starting to show some wear in a couple spots on the fabric but it has been a great canopy.

New model is not as good as the old model. The last model of this canopy lasted me 10 years. I used it everywhere. It worked well through pouring rain, windy beach days, and it even survived a tornado. I bought the newest model and noticed right away it was poorly constructed in comparison. I used a pair of this model only once at at the beach. It took only 24 hours for the top to rip and the paint to rust off. A mild breeze caused it to implode. The screws bent and the rods broke. Joints were too weak to manage the smallest breeze. I had to junk the pair. I strongly recommend you find cheaper alternative options

I wanted something to protect my new grandson on a family vacation to the beach. It tore on one of the corners during out use. Can this be repaired?

We bring this canopy out for all Cubscout camping Ann’s back yard bbq events. It’s lasted great for years and someone always comments about the quality and set up.

We have only erected this item about 5 times, as it is mainly used as a summer shade and rain cover on our deck. It lasted two years with no problems at all, but now is ripping and leaking in year 3, but considering the number of days it has been up in all weather, I think this is reasonable. I'm hoping a replacement cover will fit, although the reviews aren't promising. There are no issues with the frame after this much use.

Bought March 2017 and has served us well. We camp 15-20 days every year. After 9 years, it's time to replace the canopy cover, so just ordered a replacement. There is only so much sun and campfire ashes a canopy cover can take, and I would say 9 years and roughly 180 camping days is pretty reasonable for the lifetime of the canopy. We did have to replace one crossbar on the support frame about 4 years ago, but that's expected when you try to put the canopy up in a deluge with inches of water filling the canopy as it went up. Lesson learned. Overall, we were satisfied when our friends had one of these, so we bought one too and have been equally satisfied with ours. Obviously, you have to take good care of it, as things will break if not used properly.

This is super handy and functional. Amazing for summer time. Love this super sturdy portable high quality tent. Very little weight but stay in place. Easy to anchor and stay in place. Love this a lot and highly recommend

This canopy is a lifesaver, not only is it easy to assemble my child, and I put it up very easily. I love that. It’s very lightweight to carry and easy to pack away. It’s so sturdy and we use it for shade and it works very well.

I’ve had several of these Coleman canopies. I initially bought it to use at the racetrack, as my race car fits perfectly beneath the generous coverage, which can be lowered at night and secured to the car’s wheels with bungees. The design was changed around 2019. The top fits the frame better, the corner “wings” slide into position better than before and the guy lines can more easily be removed versus the previous model. The peak vent works great at preventing pressure to build up and send the canopy airborne. It has been covering our patio from May to September for the last few years with no issues. I use 30# bungeed to each corner to keep it in place and it has weathered many strong storms. All I need now is to order new fabric, as it tends to stretch and become loose after months outside. Looking for a part number for the top alone, as the frame is just fine.
