BOGS Men's Arcata Urban Slip-Resistant Lace Up Boot

Bought these for my husband a few months ago. Unfortunately he had the same problem that many others have reported. He has a high arch and although the size 10 fit him great in length, they were so tight over the arched area of the foot that it was quite literally cutting off circulation. So I returned the size 10 and went up to a size a 11, thinking that there might be a possibility that the over boot would be a bit 'broader or wider' in the arched area of the foot, but that didn't work out either. Truly unfortunate because both he and I REALLY love the overall style and look of this boot....and it would've been great for working out in the bush or hunting in the cooler months. Sure hope BOG revamps this boot in the future with a bit more room or a "wide" version.

I walk about 10 miles a day, and after 300 miles so far, I have no issues to report, the material and workmanship is top notch. The seamless manner of construction and the quality lining means I'm confident I will get many years to come of ownership and satisfaction. I'm truly impressed by the non slip nature of the tread, as much of the 300 miles so far I have travelled have been in -20° weather, with various amounts of snow or on more temperate days, rain. Now about stability, I have great confidence in uneven terrain, which is much of my walking as the levels are variable and in some cases dangerous. These are amazing boots, and have excellent support when tied up fully. I would wholeheatily recommend these boots.

Was looking for new boots and my younger brother recommended that I give BOGS a try. The boots are warmer and way more comfortable than I anticipated. Wore them to shovel snow during the last nor’easter and didn’t slip once and only needed one part of socks! Great job BOGS!!

I bought these in December 2024 as my everyday winter boots (Ottawa, Ontario). They were pretty decent although as others have noted they're a little tough to put on - I got used to it and made sure to always pull on the back boot tab. I'm addition the top eyelets never got used as the boot tongue was too short. Still they were decent enough boots and the tread seemed to really last. That is until this winter (25/26) when the metal eyelet for the laces popped out. I tried to put them back on but wasn't able to. I eventually gave up and just used the hole without the metal eyelet which worked fine... Until one day when I was pulling the laces tight and it went THROUGH the boot material. 🤦‍♂️ So lots of tread left but now the boots are... Not great.

We were so hoping this boot would work. Unfortunately the opening was not big enough, nor would it stretch to fit my husband's foot. Truly disappointed it didn't work as the quality of the boot is fantastic.

The boots didn't keep my foot warm Outside temp was only 28deg.

I really wanted to like these boots, for the waterproof factor and looks.. when I first tried them on, they felt really stiff so I figured they probably needed to be broken in a bit which is pretty uncommon for boots nowadays. After wearing these for a couple weeks and taking them on quite a few dog walks, I can confidently say that these are the most uncomfortable boots I've ever owned. The footbed is so stiff, that my feet hurt after about 15 to 20 minutes of walking in these - which is unheard of for all the boots that I've owned.

My son bought these boots and is very happy with them. They are warm and look good!

I purchased these boots as a Christmas gift for my husband. We had to return them because they are too difficult to put on. He wears a size 12 and has a narrow foot. We are 100% in agreement with the other reviews with similar complaints. The boots do not have any 'give' and are not likely to stretch out. They fit perfectly once put on so getting a larger size isn't really a good option. It's too bad since they really do look good; but wouldn't get worn.

Great product and winter boot for the snow that is warm and well built.
