The 9 inch square plate is elegantly designed with 2 slightly raised ridges within the plate. I have used this as a reference point in how to set on the table as well as using it as a boundary to not exceed with food. (see website). The overall curve of the plate is ever so slight & it sits very flat in my dishwasher. The name of the pattern of this plate "Modern Grace" describes it 100%.

Ordered a for place setting for my wife-anniversary gift. Went back to revisit the order-oops! Need additional plates and salad plates! No worries; ordered more and some great flatware. This “Porcelain Bone China;” awesome plates! Will purchase the bowls soon.
