Seiko Men's Automatic 5 Sports GMT Black Leather Strap Watch 39mm

This is typical Seiko quality, and the price was right during a sale. i know Seikos are hugely popular right now but I've been buying them for 45 years. I probably have a dozen so I can compare quality over the years. It's pretty accurate for an automatic, the more expensive ones tend to be more accurate than the Seiko 5's, they're probably set better at the factory. Most automatic Seikos I've owned can be set to +/- 4 seconds a day. The hands are very easy to read and the lums are typically bright. This is a newer automatic Seiko with hacking and hand winding. The watch in person looks smaller than the picture. The case is a 39.4mm case, so it's slightly smaller than the Rolex Explorer 2. About the only drawback is that the leather the strap is made from is a bit stretchy and not everyone likes the NATO style straps. I've never been a huge fan but I never expect Seiko to have great bands in this price range. I've ordered a 3rd party replacement bracelet. There are a handful of Seiko metal bracelets out there but they're not easy to find for this size case. I've never been a fan of the stamped steel bracelet ends either so a straight bracelet is fine for me and I think looks good on this style of watch. Also it dies have a Hardex crystal so it tends to scratch much easier than a sapphire crystal. I'm not hard on my watches so I don't notice but if you are you might consider a different style at least since this watch has a raised dome. Still for a GMT this is a bargain especially compared to a Rolex Explorer 2. I do actually stay in touch with family in a different time zone so it does help.

Love the watch. The strap not so much.

This is a gorgeous watch. It’s sporty but also classy and I love the mechanical movement. It’s so so cool.

Overall decent timepiece however the watch’s band is pretty much useless and very cheap for the cost of the watch swap it out it immediately when possible
