Zwilling BBQ 6pc Kabob Set

Well made flat skewers with a somewhat fiddly but very effective end clamp. It took a minute for me to get comfortable with the effective locking mechanism, which fixes the clamp at a notched point on the skewers. Alternating meat chunks and vegetable slices and keeping it all together became a piece of cake. Precise rotation of the skewers was easy using the flat ends. My first try was a Caucasus-style shashlik. I used the skewers over direct charcoal heat in my Big Green Eggf for a perfect char. For more delicate proteins the basket will come in handy to slow the sear. Highly recommended. The rest of the world has used flat skewers for kabob/shashlik for untold centuries. I struggled with the round ones, whether bamboo or metal. I may be a slow learner, but I'm glad I finally caught up. I am now wondering if Zwilling makes a longer set..
