Incredibly comfortable sandals

I thought I’d wear these occasionally as I never thought I was a “Teva” girl, but I bought them for an outdoor concert where I had to walk a lot, and now I wear these constantly. So comfortable on the first wear, easy to clean and I have recommended them a few times now to friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Life-changing comfort—especially for problem feet

I did a lot of research before finally deciding on the Women's Hurricane Ampsole Gaila Sandals—and I'm so glad I did. I'm 61, overweight, and deal with bad knees, sciatica, and feet that hurt with most shoes. I also really dislike closed-toe footwear. Living in the Northeast, I wear open-toe shoes from April and stretch it as far into October as possible. For work, I usually bring two pairs of shoes: my expensive, podiatrist-recommended pair and a backup sandal for when my toes start hurting. I get thousands of steps in during the workday—often on uneven ground, hills, and even steep stone stairs—so I always assumed I needed sneakers for that kind of support. Then I read a review from another older woman who mentioned the height, arch support, and knee relief, which really caught my attention. After wearing these for over a month—OMGoodness—I cannot believe how comfortable they are! Not only do they provide amazing support, but they've actually helped with my sciatica. That alone is huge for me. I also tried the Hurricane XLT2 Ampsole, but I'm returning them. Even though they're similar, they don't have the same height or level of comfort as the Gaila. These sandals have handled everything I throw at them, and my feet feel so much better. If someone like me—overweight and approaching senior age—prefers the height, sturdiness, and comfort of these, that says a lot. Honestly, I regret hesitating to buy them

Comfortable but straps are tooooo long

Incredibly comfortable to wear, like walking on a squishy yoga mat. I have a med to wide foot. However the straps do not need to be expanded to accommodate my foot. What is odd (and unattractive) is the excess strap that flaps off of the shoe in the toe and mid foot region. They stick up! I plan to use a hot glue gun to attach the end of the strap to the shoe to hold it down. I've tried rubber banding the straps down for 24-48 hours so the glue gun will be my next step if that doesn't help.

Not for wide feet

I had seen that others had mentioned that these are not for wide feet, but I tried them anyway. I go up a half size on all of my shoes because my foot is wide. These are exactly my style of shoe, so I'm really disappointed that it provides adjustment straps that are basically there just for show. I had a similar pair that I bought a few years ago in an olive green color, I loved them, but my then puppy chewed up the fastener. Those ones fit me just fine, but when I went to buy them again, they had disappeared from the site. I'm so sad, I really wanted these to work.

Love. Love. Love

I bought these because I know the brand is a good one, I have known since the 90s. I went on a cruise and needed comfortable and cute shoes for tons of walking. Nit only was I not disappointed, I was thrilled. They are the most comfortable shoes I own now, not even just sandals. I walked for almost 12 hours a day in them, and I didnt even have to break them in.

Lightest most comfortable shoes...

First let me start by saying I've been wearing Tevas since the late 90's. They've always been a staple in my household not only for myself, but my husband and later on for my son. I got this style in the birch color sometime in the late fall maybe early winter. Super comfy, stylish and lightweight. Keyword being lightweight. Because I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day at work my shoes are very important. That being said I was stoked to get these. I only was able to wear them twice to work before it was below freezing where I lived. Both days I came home and took them off and no pain. So, I put them back in their box to await spring. In the meantime during our harsh winter my hubs and son were looking for a quick way to start a fire in the dark. Because the power was out due to snow and ice. My hubs and son saw my box of shoes picked it up and without looking inside decided it was so light no way there were shoes in it. They then proceeded to toss them in the fire and came back later to realize, yes there were shoes in it. So, Bravo to the most stylish and most comfortable shoes I only had for a few days.I know review is a little late, but I find myself thinking of them now the weather is nicer. Highly recommend and definitely will be getting another pair as soon as I can.
