Base is ugly--gold painted rings on the black that aren't even painted evenly. If it wasn't such a pain to return it I would.

I have not received the floor lamp yet. It is a crème color shade, didn't want to have too much red.

Lamp came exactly as it was described. Very sturdy & attractive. I am using it next to my bed to read at night. The swing arm is working just as I was hoping it would.

I love the look and the price! I wish it took a 3 way bulb, but it is a super functional lamp regardless of that.

Very nice lamp. Goes together quickly and easily. The only thing that would make it better, would be for it to have a three way switch.
