Possini Euro Design Burbank Modern Art Deco Torchiere Floor Lamp 70" Tall Brass Frosted Glass Shade for Living Room Bedroom Office House

This was the perfect floor lamp to brighten up our family room that had very little light. The light bounces off the vaulted ceiling and sheds ample light for reading.

It came well packaged. I recommend opening it up in a garage inside of a large garbage sack so as to contain the styrofoam that inevitably will shred into individual tiny pieces. Assembly is super easy (a second person is helpful, and you might need to use a chair or stepladder for the shade and bulb), just be careful to not cross-thread when screwing the pole together. It looks just like depicted. I took off a star because I don't particularly care for the foot control; unless you are barefoot with dexterous toes, it is an awkward way to switch on the light. Thankfully, I have it near a side table and can control it by hand. It replaced a halogen lamp, so it will never be as bright as that one, but I also won't have the smell of bugs dying and frying due to the heat of the bulb.

The switch broke after 1month. It's an odd type of switch and not easily fixed. I'm very unhappy with this purchase and do not recommend this lamp!

Ii love this lamp. The black and gold are definitely striking and the off and on slide is so easy to use.

I love this lamp! It's tall enough to light the whole upper wall and ceiling. And very elegant and low profile to work well in a small space. Love the dimmer and foot switch too.

We looked for a Torchiere to light the dark side of our living room and coordinate with our mid-century modern furniture. This one is ideal; ithe size, style, and metallic trim complement the furniture and coordinate very well with our art deco table lamps. The graceful frosted glass shade provides excellent illumination. The dimmer switch is excellent and provides a wide range of lighting - very versatile! Assembly was straightforward (getting it out of the box and cleaning up the foam packing bits took longer than assembling the lamp). The order process was efficient with fine communication throughout. This was our first experience with Lamps Plus and we were very satisfied.

Wanted a torchiere to light up an area lacking ceiling lights and not look industrial. This is a lovely art deco design. The switch in the pole allows you to turn the lamp on and control (dim) how much or how little light you want. With the help of a Lamps Plus sales rep, I purchased a different bulb than recommended on the web page: 76H29, dimmable, 3000K, 2100 lumens LED 15W milky white bulb - equivalent to 150 traditional watt bulb but whiter in color than the recommended 2700K bulb without being too white. It is also the right height so does not show above the glass shade and has 360 degree dispersion. This is not my first Possini brand purchase; they make quality products with great designs - it is a great value! I assembled it on my own with no problems; just need to take your time in aligning the pole pieces and screwing them together properly so you do not strip the threads.

This handsome lamp deserved a mate-I bought two plus the available LED bulbs. The best part about these Torchiere beauties, I think, is the pole mounted roller switch for dimming

Exactly looks like in pictures. Looks expensive but I am not fond of glass material very much otherwise its amazing. Nice brass color!
