Lenox Whoville Toy Store Lit Figurine

I purchased this as a gift. The recipient loves the Grinch and lit up when opening the box. Since then they have revealed that they intend to continue the series.

I paid more for it in store than I saw the list price online on Macys website.

Beautiful addition to my collection

Very beautifully detailed piece by Lenox which lights up with 2 AAA batteries. I have a lot of Lenox pieces at this just adds nicely to my collection.

The Whoville set is extremely well made and beautiful especially when lit up at night. It has an auto off switch which is handy on all of the Whoville pieces I have purchased so far, very convenient. Highly recommend!

Although I’ve collected all grinch pieces, I’m disappointed in the light fixtures. There’s not enough openings in the items for the light to shine through and make any difference on a shelf. Also, the colors should be more vivid hopefully in future pieces you’ll add more bright colors to the item. I will continue to collect new pieces, but please improve the light fixtures.

The toy store is as beautiful as the other pieces in the Who-Ville collection, but the timer feature did not work on the one I received. Both Setting "On1" and "On2" (of which there was no explanation in the directions whether On1 or On2 was the timer) stayed on until the switch was manually flipped off. The figurine is too delicate and heavy to be taking it off the shelf, flipping it over, and turning it off daily. A switch on the back of the piece (and not the bottom) would have made more design sense. Please also note that LED bulbs are not replaceable as this is a solid piece with no opening, so while the bulb may last a while, once it burns out, your figurine will no longer light.
