Travelpro Platinum Elite Soft Duffel

The Travelpro Platinum Elite Soft Duffel is a well-made, attractive bag with plenty of packing space, but unfortunately it didn't work for my needs. I specifically needed a second bag to use as a personal item under the airplane seat along with my carry-on. At 19" × 12.5" × 9", this duffel is simply too large for that purpose on the airline I'm flying. I really liked the generous capacity, lightweight construction, organization, and overall quality, which made the decision to return it disappointing. If I were looking for a roomy weekender or an additional carry-on bag, I would have kept it. But for my particular need—an accessible, top-opening duffel that can reliably be used as an underseat personal item—it was just too large.

This is a really useful travel piece. It holds quite a bit and is easy to carry, it has 2 handles or a shoulder strap. Lightweight material. It has a strap so it can fit over the handle on top of a rolling suitcase. I like the pockets inside and out. Not too many, but enough to tuck a passport, keys, paperwork, and a phone. The zippers are sturdy and glide easily.

The size is perfect and changes to meet your demands. Just a few items are easily handles slung on your shoulder without appearing bulky - but if needed, it expands to swallow up what is pretty close to most roller bags. Understated luxury that is durable as it is beautiful.

As with my other Traveler luggage, this duffel says"quality" throughout. One of the many issues that I have had with like duffels in the past has been poor zipper design. These are built to last and I am confident that they would hold up well even if I checked the bag through the airline luggage. The material used in the overall construction is durable and rather easy to keep clean with just a bit of soap and water. The compartments design, the weight of the bag and the unique zippered compartment at the bottom make for a stylish, useful bag on all overnighters and extended vacations.

This is just about the perfect soft carry-on bag. ITt is hade of tip top materials, has a plenty of creative and thoughtful pockets and pouches, and it fits on my TravelPro rolling suitcase. In a recent trip I was able to fit enough gear for a three-day work trip (I carried my blazers and suits in a gaarment bag. In all, I have been delighted with this item. Would love to have another for the Lovely Wife.

The travel duffel is a perfect size for a weekend getaway. The quality of the materials and zippers are what you expect from Travelpro. I love the bottom opening compartment for a pair of shoes which saves room for the rest of the bag. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality weekend bag that is also beautiful to look at!
