Hamilton Beach® FabricIQ™ Steam Iron

I would not recommend buying this iron. The one I purchased had an apparent defect, since it made a very loud noise when it was heating up. I contacted the company, and they said they would send me a replacement. But the one they sent me is clearly a return - it's banged up, has water marks, and even a dirty soleplate that they did not even bother to clean. This is absolutely unacceptable, and if this is the way they do business, I will never buy anything from them again.

Received iron in a retaped box, upon opening top left side was all scratched up. So i returned it. Did not use it so i can not review the quality of use.

Nice performance with light continuous steam on full-steam setting, and steamburst button. Sufficient number and placement of steam holes in the soleplate as well. On/of switch on handle is ideal also (most irons do not have this). Heats up quickly. Big issue, however, is the nearly-impossible-to-fill reservoir located almost under the handle; iron must be off and fully cool to fill, because you have to tilt it, back end up towards yourself, to fully fill it. Good for ironing a garment or two, but an utter nuisance if you have a pile of ironing to get through. Re-engineer the water reservoir opening, and it would be a truly great iron.

Need an iron that will stay on while attaching iron-on interfacing. Have tried several brands before and none will do that. This FabricIQ iron is just what I need to be more efficient and productive in my sewing and ironing endeavors. I appreciate the heat, steam capabilities, weight, and stainless steel soleplate!

It leaks water out the bottom of it. Just got it!

I absolutely hate ironing, but surprisingly this iron made the actual process of ironing a tuxedo shirt, 2 dress shirts, a pair of men's slacks and also ironing on a patch, a complete breeze. I first filled the iron with water, which to me seemed an odd location, but actually makes sense. I pressed the power button and selected the heat setting. The fact that it flashes until it is at the correct temp is a game changer for me. It is very user friendly and has a good weight to it, not too heavy or too light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the iron to iron out my husband's clothes for a job interview. It did a great job getting it nice and wrinkle free. The buttons were a bit sensitive and any time my hand barely touched it the setting would change. I wish the buttons were not that sensitive cause that was really annoying to deal with.
