The texture on the outside is a bit sticky, but if storing it on a boat you don’t have to worry about it drying out before putting it away. It does easily rip if you have longer nails, but I’m not sure that changes its efficacy. Something I noticed is that it says it shouldn’t be used if you’re water skiing, etc as you can read on the close up print inside the life vest. Kind of seems like a waste of a purchase if you can’t use this as a safety device while doing water sports too. Also, I would have liked the weight requirements of the vest to be on the outside of it so that it could be easily identified if on the water with a bunch of different people—Might not be as cute, but worth it for a quick safety check. If you need a super basic life vest, this works. But if you’re using a boat daily and want a better quality, I would not recommend instead.

The girls can explore by moving their arms and legs to "swim" while feeling safe and independent thanks to the vest's just-right amount of support. I am so grateful to have found these and cannot express enough how lovely they are. After using them for nearly a month, my girls gradually eased themselves off of them (thanks to the confidence they received from wearing them) and are now able to swim alone.

But I loved that it kept her head out of the water. It was easy to put on and keep on. She.felt safe and I felt she was safe. The bright yellow color is nice also. The material is super soft for Foam and didnt cut I to her arms. When she outgrows this one I will be buying g her a bigger size.
