HD500 Classic Sewing Machine

I’ve been sewing for many years. Just for context of my experience, I won Grand Champion for sewing at a Texas fair when I was a senior in high school using a Singer. I bought a new Singer last year and it was a disaster. When I saw the black one, I just had to have it. Well, what a disappointment. It won’t stay threaded and it’s broken 4 needles in the last 2 days. Maybe it’s just a defective one, but 2 in a row? I am beyond upset. I’m in the middle of a project that needs to be done by next week and this machine has been a nightmare. It has actually taken the joy out of sewing.

This modern miracle does everything I need it to do, and with pizzazz and style! With this sewing machine, I make my projects 'walk and talk' all the way to completion. It's a dream come true.

I already owned a couple of Singer sewing machines, but I had to have this one. It's signature Gold and Black colors, and the fact that it has a metal chassis, made me want it even more! When I could arrange my finances so that I could pay for it, I immediately ordered it and haven't looked back.

Love this machine for quilting! It handles the heaviness of quilts with ease.

Overall it’s a great machine! However there are literally NO videos to help with setup, selecting your tension/thread length and width etc. reading the instructions didn’t help me one bit as I’m a very visual learner so it was a lot of trial and error to learn this machine. Please help us visual learners with videos Singer. It would help us greatly.

I am disappointed with this machine I had to send it to be fixed 33 days after I received it I’m afraid it is going to break again I sew a lot so I need a good machine

I bought this sewing machine about 4 months ago. It really feels heavy duty when you sew. I can tell the difference when I sew heavier fabric or more layers. It sews over seems if they were not there. Making button holes is easy and quick. I recommend this machine to anyone that has some experience sewing. It is great!

I bought mine in August. Just now really sewing with it making a quilt top. I had to adjust stitch length & now sews great. Stitches look very nice.

PLEASE BRING THIS SEWING MACHINE BACK!!! I need another one 🖤
