I am a "woman of a certain age" and an academic with a closet full of sensible shoes and clothing. This year I have to jump out of my comfort zone for TWO family wedding events; one in May and the other in October. For the upcoming rehearsal dinner for my nephew, I wanted something fun, stylish, flattering, comfortable and NOT matronly. I am 5'3 and petite sizes fit me best. Let me tell you it is a struggle to find the right dress in a petite size. Petite sizes are often picked over, look like grandma (sorry grandma). I stumbled into the Macy's not expecting much. The woman in the store said, "this one is cute on." I told her I didn't like "bling" and moved on before I decided it wouldn't hurt to try it on. I am so glad that I did. This dress is everything and more. I am super self conscious about my belly and arms and this dress hid those flaws. The "bling" on the bottom of the dress is subtle and beaded (not sequined). I cannot wait to wear this in May!
