Although being alpaca wool I expected this sweater to be much softer (especially at this price point), I kept it as I wanted a dressier full-length covering with warmth that was light weight. It looks very classy when paired with my black and silver Angora scarf. It will work great over pants suits and dresses for chilly evenings. It is what could be considered as a classic piece.
I really wanted to like this. I even ordered it in two colors. However, as soon as the material hit my skin, I felt itchy. The fibers themselves were not as soft I was expecting for the price. The colors are beautiful and very versatile. You can tell it’s a good quality piece and the cut/how it falls is nice. It didn’t work for me unfortunately, and I returned both of them.
A number of years ago we took a trip to Alaska and I purchased an alpaca cardigan sweaterfrom this same brand. I love it and use it a lot. When I saw this longer sweater to wear with jeans I was thrilled and sent it as a hint to my husband who fortunately bought it for me for Christmas. I'm a size 14 up top and a 12 down below and it fits great. You won't go wrong with a sweater.
