All the situations and activities on the workbooks are age-appropriate and engaging I love how diverse and inclusive the illustrations are. Kids enjoy the light-up pen and parents appreciate the self-correcting feature.

Social skills are hard to teach kids, especially younger ones, but this was super interactive and fun! It comes with three workbooks that each have a focus (character, feelings, friendship) and the pen which you press to dots to answer the questions. The pen lights up green or red depending on your answer and has sounds which the kids loved. It was a really fun way for them to engage with the learning and it was fun for me to watch them react to getting one wrong, think it through, and then get it right! The actual activities are mostly common situations that kids experience at school/daycare, so it was very applicable and age-appropriate. I think every preschooler/kindergartener should have this before entering school!
The light-up pen giving feedback while kids interact with the activity books is super helpful and encourages them to keep learning. The activity books push kids to build confidence in their reading skills and helps them to build up a new wide ranging vocabulary. Along with these skills, they learn the importance of social and emotional learning.
Love that this set includes 3 workbooks and an interactive pen. A great way for the kids to build SEL skills!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hot Dots Feelings and Friendships workbooks have been a valuable addition to our family. I have personally witnessed a noticeable difference in my children, aged almost 3 and 6, since we began using these workbooks. They offer a variety of activities that focus on emotions, building friendships, mindfulness, and more. The recommended age group of 3 and up is ideal for our children. With over 200 activities, the Hot Dots Feelings and Friendships workbook is age-appropriate and covers topics such as recognizing emotions and developing social skills. The interactive pen that is included enhances the learning experience. I highly recommend this product for every household!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product for my daughter! She is 3 years old and we work together while I read her the pages. She caught on very quickly and it has been a great tool to help her with these age appropriate people skills!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved that this offered so many different social emotional learning examples. The pen lights up green for correct or red for incorrect. I do wish that the pen would also read the questions out loud for more independent play. Unfortunately my 3 year old can not read so she will only play with it when I make her play with it. Not super engaging because of this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All of my kids ages 3,5,7 really enjoyed this. They were always fighting over it. Great item to have them sit at the table while I cooked and could help the younger 2. #gotitfree #honestreview
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was bored with this quickly I think it may have intrigued him more if he was a little older to understand the emotions described
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this! My nonverbal autistic toddler and my 8 year old played with it and they both enjoyed interacting and learning. The product focuses on emotional development. I recommend this!
