I’m loving this Dutch oven! I’ve used it several times for different dishes, and they’ve all turned out delicious. One thing I’d suggest is that after each use and cleaning, add a little oil (whatever you prefer) and rub it into the Dutch oven to keep it well conditioned.

The heat distribution and retention are outstanding, everything cooks evenly and stays hot for a long time. It’s definitely on the heavier side, which makes cleaning a bit of a workout, but that’s expected with real cast iron. I love using it for shepherd’s pie and other recipes that start on the stovetop and finish in the oven. Overall, it’s a fantastic, versatile piece that I’m glad I added to my kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 5 quart cast iron Dutch oven by good cook is amazing. It came pre-seasoned with flaxseed oil which makes it easier to use right away. It has a lifetime warranty and was designed in the USA. The weight is solid as expected from cast iron but this one is also oven safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit making it perfect for stove and oven cooking or baking. Makes great loaves of sourdough too!

Cleaning the pot is basic, just like other cast iron type cookware. You can make so many thing with it. Just be aware that it will rust after washing it with water and dish soaps. I recommend seasoning it with oil by preference and heat it in the oven, as maintaining for long term use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pot looked very good but it is not that great, it is very durable but cleaning it is super hard, moisture gets trapped inside it and the seasoning gets stuck on the sides of, it was good to retain heat but i wouldn’t recommend this to anybody
