Skagen Men's Mellem Quartz Three-Hand Silver Stainless Steel Watch, 40mm

Comfortable and stylish

Being a fan of Skagen for a long time, I liked the look of the watch in pictures, but it didn't prepare me for the surprise of wearing it for the first time... it fit on the wrist better than any other watch I own! I bought the silver one first, but I'd like to get the black one too! The only downside is, being owned by Fossil, there is no commitment to keeping parts around, so the question comes, do I treat this as a disposable watch brand (I have 4) or do I stop buying and find another brand that I trust to have a part when needed?

I like the shape and size of this watch. I also like it's simplicity and clean lines.

A good looking watch with a rich, blue sunburst dial & high polished applied indices. This watch definitely leans more towards the dress watch end of the spectrum, in large part due to the high polished case & watch strap. Personally, I’d have much preferred a brushed finish on the vertical surfaces of the watch case, & on the outer link of the bracelet. This would have greatly contributed to balancing out the look of the watch, given more detailed interest, & increased its versatility between dress & high-casual wear. All in, although, this is a very stylish watch with un design elements that make it stand out from the crowd. I cannot comment on the quality of the movement inside, as I traditionally avoid quartz movements. However, this piece caught my eye, and I could not be happier with its design aesthetic & wrist presence. I think Skagen manages to separate itself from many of the other fashion watch brands by maintaining a clear focus on design integrity. They’re one of the few brands selling in this space whose name recognition & design heritage could realistically transition to a more upmarket product line if a commitment to higher quality materials were pursued.

Skagen watches have been my go to brand preference for over a decade. Unfortunately, the links in this watch are very wide and when you try to adjust it to fit your wrist, the fit was either too tight or too loose, making the watch unbearable.. it was very disappointing.

I have four or five Skagen watches. This one and a black one, the hands are so close in color to the face, that it’s hard if not impossible to read the time. Love the style and some of my other Skagen watches

30 year anniversary present for my his. Looks beautiful, had it engraved. Only issue is hair on his wrist keeps getting stuck in the band
