Sculpey Original Sculpey Clay: 1.75 lb

I wanted to get a clay that looked more like natural rock and this worked great. I had never used original sculpey but it worked for this project and seems durable.

I LOVE LOVE LOVED Sculpey. I teach adaptive art classes to adults with special needs and really wanted to make a long-lasting piece with my students. This was perfect! Baking was easy, sculpting was a breeze, and everyone was so happy with all of their color options! Will buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a bit of an unusual use case. I’m a grief-worker, someone who helps people move forward after loss, and Sculpey helps me in this work. I’ll hand a client a piece and ask them to think about it as an embodiment of their grief. And since most people don’t like how grief feels, I suggest they put it down. Then something causes them to have to pick it up again, and it feels the same, which they don’t like so they put it down. Sculpey, like grief, always feels the same … until we start to tend it. So I have them pick it up again and just hold it. Allow the hands to warm it. Begin to notice how it softens, becomes workable, and can even be molded into something new. The work I do helps people trend their grief, and as they do, something they over avoided, can become a tool to not only heal but find a richer life on the other side.

Great product with a lot of pliability, long lasting easy to work can be made into any shape. Bakes easily within minutes and can be glazed, painted even imprinted. What ever you can imagine!

Fantastic product! Easy to use, easy to manipulate.

I had my 5th graders use this to create 3-D self portraits. Everyday, I look up at their smiling faces. Everyone who visits my classroom comments on their technique and originality.

[Employee of sculpey] Original Sculpey is so easy to sculpt with its perfect for general crafting and beginner sculptures. It has a nice white/off white color that is easy to paint and incorporate into mixed-media projects. It also hits a great price point when you need a lot of mass for bulking.

[Employee of sculpey] This clay is the best intro to sculpting out there. It's highly workable, holds decent shape and details, and it comes in a few different colors to suit whatever you're working on. I personally like the gray because I can see the details a little better on that one.

I always buy at least 2 of these at a time! I love how well this clay takes color, (acrylic paint, mica powder, alcohol inks and more!) I can customize all my colors! I love it!
