What could be considered a security feature doubles as a flaw. My unit disconnected/lost sync between the walking pad and the remote. After a long search through similar issues, solutions were tried with no avail; you name it, we tried it. Returned it through UPS after 48 hrs of attempts, drawing the conclusion this may occur too often if so many models have several sites offering a troubleshooting solution. Not for me.
