I purchased two pairs of Rocky Snake Boots last month—one for myself and one for my wife. Overall, we have been very impressed with the quality and comfort of the boots. They are well built and surprisingly comfortable, even after wearing them all day in 98-degree weather. The only significant downside, and one that has been mentioned in numerous other reviews, is the zipper system. When I first took my boots out of the box, I spent nearly five minutes struggling to get the zipper down. The issue appears to be that the fabric on the inside of the zipper area can get caught in the zipper track, making it extremely difficult to operate and, at times, frustrating to free. Despite this issue, I really like the boots and would still recommend them. I give them 4 out of 5 stars. Rocky has a great product overall, but I strongly encourage the company to redesign or improve the zipper system. Fixing that issue would make an already excellent boot significantly better.

This pair was bought with 50 percent discount cause 1st pair soles came apart. I got the new 2nd pair and after wearing a couple times they're coming apart at the soles also. Rocky must use weak glue
The boots are great and true to size. They are pretty comfortable and I do feel they will be just what is needed to clear my land of trees and keep me safe from the rattle snakes here in hill country.
I returned the boots and I’m still waiting in my refund
I own a pair of these both pair started leaking within 2 months. Definitely will not get a 3rd. Boots has a leaking flaw.
First snake boots I have found that actually fit my feet
These boots really do the job with preventing snake bites from getting to your legs, ankles, or feet and they are really comfortable. We wear them on our Farm year round as we get support for ankles and they are comfortable. We Highly recommend these boots for everyone.
I bought these boots about 8 years ago. I have about 50 miles on them and they are still doing good. They only thing I added was some good insoles for long hikes. I definitely recommend these to anyone.
Purchased these about 3 weeks ago to replace and aging pair of lace-up snake boots. After weighing all features in several brands, I settled on the Retractions. These are light and required almost no break-in period. They run true to size as I normally wear 11W and that's what I ordered. Fit great. Zippers are YK2 brand metal. I am satisfied with fitment and quality. So far, the waterproofing is untested, but I expect Rocky to honor the 1-year warranty if that becomes an issue.
