I love the Tortoiseshell Melbourne and think it looks great covering this beautifully shaped bag. Such an elegant shape! I have only a few things to mention. 1. The shoulder strap is not what I would consider thin. It is 1. 5 inches in diameter. It is also of the length to keep the bag under your arm at your side, but it is not long enough to wear as a crossbody or down by your hip. There were no claims by Brahmin that it would be long enough for that, it’s just something I noticed. 2. There are also no outside pockets for a phone. It is simple enough to store the phone inside the bag, but so far I have found that I need two hands to actually pull the magnet opening apart, so it is more of a project to get your phone out of the bag than it would have been from a simple outside slide pocket. The magnetized opening might loosen up with use. I couldn’t find any photos of the shoulder strap anywhere so what arrived was a mystery to me, but it was still great. It sounds like I am “dissing” the bag, but I still love it. I just would have appreciated an outside phone pocket for convenience’s sake.

I’m relatively new to the world of Brahmin, but let me tell you…. when I saw this collection I was in love, and knew I had to have one of this collection’s bags. The bag is even more gorgeous in person. It is very stylish, spacious and well made. It can be dressed up or down. Definitely one of my favorite.
