I'm short waisted (5 feet 4 inches tall), have a rectangular shape (36/30/36). The medium was a bit big. The shoulder seems went over the shoulders a fair amount. Maybe it is supposed to be slouchy. I think it was cute, but the bold black "North Face" logo on both the front and the back caused me to look for another jacket. I did find another similar jacket from North Face that had a white logo on ivory in a very similar style. This really helps when I want to pair scarves with it, so I kept that one in a size small.

Cute and functional
Super cute. I love the crop on this jacket I think it looks very flattering but still kept me warm and dry while I was hiking though wet and cold terrain.

Nice but...
I really wanted this jacket to work for an upcoming trip to Iceland to keep me dry. I am super short with a pudgy belly. I bought the Medium and it fit around my belly but was huge in the shoulders. So if you're a normal size, it should work for you! I loved the gray color but had to return. The Small wouldn't fit around my belly so ...
