We tried the carrier for one day while walking around the city, and unfortunately, the stroller function was extremely frustrating to use. The front wheels would not roll smoothly over even small cracks or uneven sections of sidewalk. If there was as little as a 1/4-inch difference in elevation, the stroller would often come to a complete and sudden stop. Each time this happened, the stroller would tip forward, causing our dogs to slide into the front screening and forcing me to stumble to avoid running into it. The only way to prevent this was to constantly watch the pavement directly in front of the wheels and tilt the stroller back onto its rear wheels whenever we approached even a minor crack or uneven surface. Having to do this repeatedly made walking through the city difficult and very annoying. A stroller designed for outdoor use should be able to roll over normal sidewalk cracks and minor changes in elevation without abruptly stopping and pitching forward.
