THE OLFACTORY NOTES: True to the elegance of a classic chypre perfume, Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense amplifies the softness of butterfly lily and the depth of oakwood. Leathery notes evoke Barénia leather, harmoniously underlining the intensity of a patchouli absolute and creating a unique and captivating signature. THE OBJECT: The bottle, created by Philippe Mouquet and inspired by the Collier de Chien bracelet, is tinted with an amber gradient, echoing the depth of the Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense. Its gentle elliptical curves balance out the strength of the pyramidal studs with their domed sides. THE HERMÈS DETAIL: At the heart of the jewel-like Barénia bottle is one final stud, shaped into the base of the glass.

Elegant and long lasting and absolutely divine
This fragrance is something truly special. The scent is so gorgeous and distinctive , floral, warm and deeply elegant. What impressed me most is how long-lasting it is ! a small amount goes such a long way. My mother smelled it and instantly fell in love, saying it reminded her of a beautiful memory. That emotional connection is what great fragrances are all about. Gifted in exchange for my honest review.

An eccentric androgynous option
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This scent definitely won’t be for everyone, but that’s the point. To me, it starts off sharp and bitter but mellows in about 30 minutes to the most luxe blend of leather and florals. I don’t get a lot of patchouli in this personally. Its sillage is a bit weaker than I’d hoped for an intense flanker to the original Barenia, but I don’t mind reapplying during the day. I’m on the fence about whether or not I’ll repurchase once this one is empty, but I can say it’s a very unique leather-floral that is great for women who, like me, are more androgynous than feminine. This perfume is Tilda Swinton in a market full of Margot Robbies.

Not loving the scent
I couldn’t wait to get this perfume…..it’s ok, but not crazy about the scent. It’s a strong scent & a heavy scent…..I’ll use it, but won’t order it again!

Great fragrance
