Cuisinart FastFreeze Half Pint Ice Cream Maker ICE-FD10

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought about a month ago to replace my KitchenAid freezer bowl that A) I never had room for in the freezer, and 2) eventually leaked out all the blue freezer goo. I eat a clean, low-carb diet and all the commercial low carb ice creams out there A) taste horrible, and 2) contain too many ingredients I don't want to eat. I knew I could do better making my own ice cream, and I definitely wanted something that didn't take up so much space in my freezer. Fast Freeze fits the bill; it's easy to use, sturdy, and small enough. Consistency is the only drawback I can find, but I've only made two batches so far so maybe it's me, but I'm still getting icy, not creamy. But, A) it tastes great, and 2) I know what's in it...so I'm happy enough!

This device means you can make icecream that is creamy and delicious very easily. So far the resulta have been amazing. The amounts it makes are quite small. Enough for 2 at a push but 1 ifnyou like icecream as much as me! Its so simple to use. It would be good to have a few more recipes but AI can help with that.

You can get a generous serving of sorbet or ice cream in about 6 hours including freeze time. My machine makes a bit of a 'electric motor' smell when it makes its first churn through the hard frozen tub and it definitely helps to let the tub sit out of the freezer for 10 minutes or sit it in hot water for a minute. Trying to invent low calorie deserts, having some success. lots of failures .. protein powder not great in mixes. Bit of a pest cleaning the churn attachment as spring so stiff.

I like FastFreeze Ice cream Maker! It's easy to use and it works great! The only thing is, I wish the containers were bigger!

I’m very pleased with my wand and have just bought the wand ice cream book for more recipes the pots are a nice size to stack in the freezer and as they are not too big I can have a few different flavours also as good if not better than shop bought ice cream and I know exactly what goes into it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Made vanilla, pistachio and black cherry flavors. I think the black cherry was the best flavor. Found a recipe online. Followed the cuisinart manual for vanilla flavor. Was just ok but maybe because I added rum. Will try to make it plain as described next time. For the black cherry flavor I used frozen cherries, about 5. Heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and almond extract. I blended ingredients in personal blender and poured in freezing cup. When churning I added chopped frozen cherries and it was delicious. Only required one push for ice cream and then the topping mix in option once and that’s it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only negative I have is that you have to wait 24 hours for the mixture in the freezer to freeze. It’s a great size for one person, not necessarily for a family. I have made carmel/cashew and cherry/chocolate chip using the vanilla recipe and they were both delicious!
