HENCKELS BBQ 18" Pizza Stone

The pizza stone arrived in tact (not broken) and seems like it'll be okay to put into my oven directly on a rack, however the shape is rectangular (and NOT square as advertised). The top of the stone has a few minor imperfections like very tiny chips but hopefully it will not impair its strength when it heats up. Attached are a few pictures showing the rectangular packaging and stone, so it's not a fluke that they shipped a rectangular since the Henckels packaging is built for this exact size. The interior box is good to keep it stored when not in use, and my last couple of stones had similar boxes which proved good.

The Henckels pizza stone is perfect for bread baking. I recently started making my own sourdough bread and this pizza stone is just the right size for baking two loaves of bread at the same time. My daughter bought one first since she also makes her own bread and she recommended it to me.

Love this pizza stone, size fits perfectly in my "ordinary" oven. I use it not only for pizza but making sourdough bread - the stone creates the perfect crust. I leave it in the oven at all times as it really adds to the circulating heat for all roasting, baking and even broiling.

First and foremost my favorite thing about this stone is the size/shape. Too many stones are long and rectangular, making you conform the shape of your pizza to the stone. This one is almost square allowing for oval pies as well as round pies or several minis at once. The surface is amazing. I get such a crisp crust with an easy release. Its not just for pizza........once I pull my pies off ill toss on a crostata with fresh seasonal fruit that will bake up crisp and perfectly for dessert while we enjoy the pizzas.

Nothing is better than a pizza cooked on a stone. You get that amazing crispy crust every time whether you're using it in your oven or grill.
