Pilates is a great option for asthmatics. I got this to begin with and follow along with YouTube videos. Love it so far!

I love to do my reformer advanced workout at the club at least 3 times a week. However on my off days, I do a simple workout with my 287 reformer too keep my body moving. I can work on my core inner thighs legs arms shoulders and stretching. This reformer is a good size and folds away. It’s a little on the heavy and clumsy side but I use that as another way to build my muscles. I’m very happy with my purchase

It’s a nice reformer for the price. I’m happy with my workouts and am really happy that I can add accessories as needed like the rebounder and even a neck pillow. Overall, this is a great piece of equipment that allows me to workout while my Pilates studio is closed due to COVID. It folds up easily and was simple to put together.

If you're looking for a home reformer while your studio is closed that won't break the bank, the 287 is... fine? It's not great — there are no pulley risers so the cords often rub against my shoulders when I'm doing legwork as the pulleys are located below the platform level. I'm not sure why this model was designed without pulley risers (or the option to even add pulley risers for an additional cost!), but it makes for an uncomfortable workout that's not ideal. When doing arm work like drawing the sword, my platform often gets stuck in place, which can be extremely frustrating. Other than that, it's okay, I guess? It does the job and folds up easily is the best I can say about it. If I had known the limitations of this model, I probably would have chosen another one over it.

It’s useable while my studio isn’t available, but definitely not the same as their reformers (I knew that would probably be the case). Altho it works well for arm work, it doesn’t for leg work as the rollers catch on the track’s hinges, ropes rub my shoulders/arms. Also, the handles & shoulder pads are made of something that’s stickyish which is irritating.

The seller was great. An adjustment job broke during shipment through no fault of the seller & they sent a replacement w’out me even asking. The equipment works well. It is convenient because it folds up. I can buy a frame for it to bring it off of the floor which would work best. I think, this will be a ‘starter’ pilates machine for me. I’d like to get more serious about my work outs. Buy it. You’ll see the results pretty quickly.

I have to commend Stamina for their customer service. One of the resistance bands were damaged out of the box and they were quick to send a replacement. As for the reformer, the carriage is pretty small. My husband is only 5’9” and he’s pretty close to the edge when laying down. The position of the pulleys is awkward. When your feet are in the straps, the ropes either drag along your chest or hit the shoulder rests. Lastly, there is no quick way to adjust the strap lengths which makes certain moves difficult. I would return it if I could.

I bought this reformer a month ago and it has been awesome! Easy to put together, use, and great to fold up when needed!!

Awesome workout really great stretch along with cardio

I have taken Pilates classes for over 10 years, and love the workout. However, the area I currently live at offers a variety of classes but at a very expensive price. I suffer from a rare form of arthritis, and Pilates helps in stretching my spine and strengthening overall. This piece of equipment is sturdy, offers options of many types of Pilate moves, and the best part is the price and the fact it folds up when not in use.
