Comfortable and feel feels like you’re walking on air

Comfortable for all day whether working, walking around town. Goes with shorts or long pants and dresses things up a little. I now have 5 pairs in pretty much every color Johnston & Murphy makes.

I picked up the Amherst 2.0 Knits expecting a solid work-to-weekend shoe, and in terms of comfort, they totally deliver—the upper is lightweight and breathable, and the cushioning is great for all-day wear. Unfortunately, the outsole tread has a weird "suction cup" effect that makes a surprisingly loud popping sound whenever I walk on smooth wood or tile floors. They look and feel great, but that annoying indoor squeak keeps me from wearing them as much as I'd like.

Excellent shoe! Disappointed to see it going away. Best shoe by J&M, and I have bought your shoes for 25+ years. Light, supportive, this shoe transitions from casual to work settings easily. I have knee issues and this shoe beats all the cushion shoes on the market, and I can wear it with my suit, for travel, hikes, light exercise like biking and walking, or an easy night on the town with friends.

This is my third pair/color. Really like the fit & feel.

Love these shoes! Bought them for a European vacation and just bought a second pair before they disappear. Super lightweight but supportive and sturdy enough for all-day walking. I have NOT experienced the suction sound others have reported.

Returned the Amherst 2.0 due to the poor sole design with suction cup sound. Was embarrassed for 2 days travelling with a colleague and heard the popping for the entire trip. Surprised Johnston & Murphy allowed this shoe to make it to market. Very happy that J&M replaced with a different shoe style.
