Samsonite Paralux Hardside Medium 26" Check-In Spinner Luggage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Durable, stylish, and roomy! I am really pleased with this bag.

We were so excited to upgrade our previous set of Samsonite luggage with the expectation the new set would be the same type of quality we had with our 10 year old set. This was a mistake to assume the new set would be of the same quality. We purchased 6 pieces of Paralux luggage. The very first usage the ID tag was ripped off the luggage while on the airport carousel. There is now 2 holes in place of the ID tag. We do not understand why Samsonite didn't do testing to determine this piece was not going to stand up to ONE time on an airport carousel! We also became aware of the - it isn't the airlines fault, it must be the luggage manufacturer - no, it must be the airlines fault - you are just stuck. Sad, that a brand we trusted our entire lives now only lasted one airline flight. Gave 2 stars as wheels make it easy to use but upset at our experience and now have defective large Paralux luggage along with all the other pieces waiting for them to also break.

I purchased the Samsonite Paralux 24 Carry On because I expected a quality, durable piece of luggage from a brand with a strong reputation. Unfortunately, after using it for only one trip, the exterior already has significant scuffing and noticeable markings. I understand that luggage can show some wear from normal travel, but I was very disappointed by how easily this particular finish appears to scuff and show marks after just one trip. The amount of visible marking was much more than I expected for a new piece of luggage. If appearance is important to you, I would recommend being aware that this finish may be particularly susceptible to scuffing and showing travel marks. I wish I had known this before purchasing.

However I did not receive info on the locks or anything. I'm searching now to find support so I can receive use and care instructions. That's not the products fault so I'm not taking away a star.

Not durable after first travel and price on the company’s website is less than on sale at the store. Good wheels, easy access to 2 compartments. Will return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my Samsonite Stryde 2 luggage. They served me well for 10 years. But as a frequent flyer, took a beating, so hopefully the Paralux will live up to the challenge. Haven't been put to use yet, so cannot comment on the endurance. I like thè style of the Paralux and seem to be sturdy. We will see next month how it holds up.

I thought that the hybrid of the clamshell and the top opening would make it more versatile, but I found that the zipper on the top opening was not robust enough. On two different occasions, it tore open, and I was panicked that I would have to duct tape my suitcase. The bag is very light and rolls reasonably well, but the zipper was a deal breaker for me.

I am really enjoying my Samsonite Paralux Carry-On. The design is absolutely beautiful — clean, modern, and very premium-looking. It has that sleek, futuristic luxury feel while still feeling practical and well-built. My favorite feature is the outside/top opening access. Being able to open the front section and quickly reach my items without opening the entire suitcase is a game changer, especially while traveling. It makes the bag feel much more thoughtfully designed than a regular carry-on. The wheels roll smoothly, the handle feels comfortable, and the overall organization inside is excellent. It feels like Samsonite put a lot of thought into both the look and the functionality. I wanted something stylish, solid, and easy to use, and this bag checks all those boxes. Overall, I am very happy with this carry-on and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a premium, modern suitcase with smart features.
