Kiyonna Plus Size Glimmer Ruffle Evening Gown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dress is so beautiful! My cousin bought it for her brothers wedding. I check in every so often to see if they finally made this in a smaller size (womens size 8) I own quite a few dresses from this designer and they are highest quality. Especially fond of their wrap dresses. I also own the Veronica dress in two colors (bronze & black) and get so many compliments

the fit and shape of the gown was perfect and looked great on me. I especially liked the arm sleeve length and the v neck and the offset ruffle. I would have kept it, but the glimmer on the fabric started spreading everywhere as soon as I took it out of the bag. Silver dust everywhere. I would love this dress in exactly the same shape and stretchy fabric without the glimmer. A simple black or navy version would be awesome!

I bought this in a 1X and it fits true to size. The cut is extremely flattering and the dress looks gorgeous on—exactly the kind of piece I wanted for a special occasion where I was aiming to feel glamorous. Unfortunately, the glitter finish sheds excessively. Even after shaking it out and using a lint roller, it continued to drop glitter and transfer onto everything it touched. I then washed it carefully following the care instructions (cold, gentle, inside out, lay flat to dry), and the glitter still continues to shed. Because of that, I ultimately chose not to wear it for my event. I could already tell it would be especially disastrous around a charcoal suit (glitter shows instantly). For the price point, I expected a much higher-quality finish. As it stands, I can’t comfortably wear it because it leaves noticeable glitter on everything it touches.

This dress has a beautiful cut, it fits perfectly and looks amazing there is however a problem, this dress drops glitter everywhere. It left a pile of glitter everywhere I went, on chairs, on the floor, on the people nearby. This is not a small amount of glitter that I am talking about. It is on everything I have touched this evening.
