The comforter is soft with what I consider a low-med fill. A good, comfortable weight for me, year round. The quality wasn't as good as I expected. The fabric is very thin, and there are many loose threads coming through the seams throughout. The velvet is not a true velvet ribbon but a soft piled fabric. It still looks pretty, and I love it, even though it didn't meet the quality I expected.
