Fellow Aiden Precision Coffeemaker

Makes a much richer brew than my Chemex. The programming aspect is easy to follow and has a helpful guided process too. Am extremely pleased.

I did a lot of research before buying the Fellow Aiden, and my biggest hesitation was the amount of plastic on what is a premium coffee maker.   Now that i have it, that concern has largely disappeared. The machine is genuinely beautiful in person. Sure, more metal would make it feel even more premium, but the plastic does not detract from the overall look as much as I expected based on some reviews. I moved to the Aiden from a Moccamaster, which is an excellent coffee maker. The Aiden feels like a step up if you want more control and the ability to dial in different coffees without turning every morning into a manual pour-over experiment. I’ve been very impressed with the consistency, the Guided Brew system, and how easy it is to adjust brew settings. I ended up going all in on the setup with the grinder, bean storage, and kettle. The overall experience has been excellent. Our coffee setup honestly couldn’t be better right now. The Aiden has made it easy to get much more out of good beans while still keeping the process simple enough to use every day.

I was skeptical when I purchased this machine but it surprised me from the very first pot. The quality of my morning coffee got a huge upgrade! Best tasting coffee I've ever had at home. Love it.

Difficult to learn; beautiful design, however, the water container should be visible to the front of the unit. . . I have made coffee several times and while I set it to brew 1-3 cups, it does not tell me there is not enough water to made the 1-3 cups. So after showering I find that the coffee is maybe 1/2 cup since the water was not enough.

It does not work. I cannot run the flush cycle. The error says Close Lid; the lid is closed.

Pour over was better. For some reason, all the coffee sent to us tastes sour with this new method even the so-called dark roast. Tried multiple grinds and multiple modes.

Scale buildup is unacceptable. You need to resolve the problem. People have varying water supplies. If your water is a requirement to make the Fellow operate efficiently, you should send potential buyers the test kit before they purchase do that they can evaluate the situation. Thanks for the replacement our extended warranty, machine purchased in April. Hopefully the replacement will do the trick. 😎

I love this coffee maker! I've tried every method and many, many brewers and this has by far been my favorite! I only once got the "refill water" message and found the solution on a Reddit post. Just slightly pick up the water container a tiny bit and thump down a few times to release air bubbles. Worked like a charm and zero issues since. The coffee is delicious and I love the design and ease of use.
