Ingrid + Isabel Women's Ingrid + Isabel Ribbed Knit Crossover Nursing Cardigan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For reference, I'm 5'2" and wearing a size S in the Caramel color. My pre-pregnancy size based on the sizing chart was pushing the top end of XS so I chose S to give me some wiggle room. I ended up loving this cardigan! It’s well made, heavyweight, and substantial enough to keep me warm at the office. Usually I need a jacket or a long-sleeve shirt under a chunky cardigan, so that is a major plus. I've already worn it three times since getting it over the weekend. I also love that it has pockets. I forgot they were there at first because I was wearing it untied and didn't notice them, then caught myself thinking how great it would be if it had pockets before remembering that it does lol. The inside and outside ties make the wrap feel secure and well designed when you want to wear it closed. I'm halfway through my second trimester, and there is plenty of room to grow into this through the rest of pregnancy. Right now, I prefer it worn open. When I tie it closed, the roomy shape and pocket placement add a little extra width through my hips on my hourglass frame. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you are trying to avoid extra volume in that area. I also like that this is not just a maternity-only purchase. I have a hard time justifying buying quality clothes that I’ll only wear for a few months, but I can see this being worn postpartum and I can see it being a go-to once the baby is here. The price is a little high for a rayon/ polyester/nylon blend, but the warmth, weight, pockets, and postpartum use make it feel more worth it than I expected when I first read the fabric composition.

The thing I do not love is that for the price I felt it should’ve been cotton wool and organic or natural material! Especially with a baby being that close to it, you dont wanna drape them in petroleum. That being said the style is perfect. It makes so much sense. It is comfortable, the perfect weight. it provides excellent coverage and seems like it’ll be durable because it’s polyester.. so that could actually count as a pro to some, not a con. Price could come down due to material but other than that, I LOVE this product!! If it came in an organic option for this price and have a cheaper polyester version, it would be perfect! 🙌🏻

It works well postpartum for easy nursing access. You can also wear it as a cite going out cardigan which makes it versatile.

It’s so easy to throw on around the house or to run errands. The fabric is breathable, luxe and heavy, the color is gorgeous. Feels great on skin and the pockets are a huge plus. I’ve been wearing it non stop this cold season.
