Wilson Champions Choice Duo Hybrid Tennis String

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After buying the RF 01 Pro Classic racket I decided to try the strings Roger used. It took me a few times to get used to the feel but now I love them. I helps with spin and I have so much more control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 6 of them to get 6 of my Wilson 90 sq head racquets. Models that Roger used. Initially I got two of my racquets strung, same pattern as Roger. Next 4 I got strung and stringing guy did it opposite, with gut in crosses and luxilon in mains

I use the gut on the mains and ALU rough on crosses with 54 and 52 tension on my RF racquet. It feels good on my arms and gives a boost to my power. Love the string but it is pricey.

Federer is my favorite player so I decided to try the strings out with my pro staff. Feels amazing, and produces ample power and top spin. I know natural gut isn’t known for its durability, so so far, I’m having no issues with it!

I brought 5 pairs for my 5 rackets and these were unlike the earlier ones. Dont know if wilson deliberately sent all crappy ones sitting in their warehouse but all 5 broke and four of them without hitting a shot. And it is not the stringer for sure because we used another 5 the next day and it has been good. Just not wilson champions choice anymore that is all.

I’m 4.0 and I do hit with a lot of topspin one my forehand and I’ve noticed that this string combo really gets the ball up and down and through the court. It’s surprisingly lasting long too. For me 8 singles outings and still the gut isn’t peeling, so that’s good.

I am an intermediate player who can now feel the difference in better rackets and strings. After first playing a 1st Gen Pure Strike with XCel strings, I demoed a 3rd Gen Pure Strike with XCel strings. I noticed more weight in the handle on the 3rd Gen and it felt more solid. Then I bought a 3rd Gen and put the natural gut strings on the mains and XLU Power on the crosses. That racket and those strings made a world of difference in my game of placement and ease of a power serve. It was very noticeable. I say you need the right racket AND strings now. Mains @ 54, Crosses @ 50. Works for me.

I LOVE THIS STRING. Granted I go back and forth between this and 4G instead of ALU Power. However, I love the feel of this string and it rewards me if I hit right. I string my racquet very tight, and this string holds up beautifully. It gives me great control and power. If you want a hybrid setup or new strings at all this is a must have. The ALU Power is “rough” which gives you more bite on the ball. I also have the Babolat gut and RPM blast in a racquet. That is a great string combo, but i prefer this one more because of the power it gives me.

Wirklich teuer, aber jeden Cent wert. Roger Federer spielt wohl damit. Ist eine Naturdarmsaite in Kombi mit einer Alu Power. Ich habe die Darmsaite quer besaitet. Der Touch von dieser Kombi ist überragend. Leider ist sie mir nach 20 Minuten gerissen!
