Baggallini Women's Modern Everywhere Bag, Set 2 Piece

I’ve loved these bags for a long time. Now buying 2 more fir summer and winter. Would be nice if they came out with a real “summery” one, like flowery fabric or ratan.

This bag is the closest I have found to the perfect crossbody travel bag, but it falls short of its potential. I have travelled internationally for work and service for 35 years, so I know what I need in a bag. I have happily used several Baggallini bags over the years, and I reviewed dozens of bags last year before choosing the Modern Everywhere Bagg as my primary purse while living abroad in Europe for 9 months. Here are the good parts: I love all the different compartments to organize my things by category, the wide base that allows it to stand up by itself, the soft sleeve for sunglasses, the separate sleeve for my phone, the smooth zippers, the firm metal zipper pulls, the durable good-looking material, the detachable strap (which I exchanged for a wider one), the wallet that's included, and especially the little vertical side zipper pocket for hand sanitizer or other little bottles. It served me well and I plan to use it for years of travel. However, there are several downsides that were consistently annoying: the phone sleeve is not attached so it slides inside out every time you pull out your phone (and it's too narrow to accommodate a phone case); the small zipper pocket on the front is too narrow for your hand to fit through, making it difficult to get to the small items stored there; the wider zipper pocket on the front doesn't have the clip to attach the wallet, which is the most logical place to put it; the water bottle holder is too tight to fit even a slender bottle (and there is no flexibility), so it takes up interior space when you shove one into the holder; the curved top zipper is just about an inch too low, so a regular folder or magazine can't easily fit inside (for an academic, this is a deal breaker); and the external magnetic fasteners in 3 places are that annoying kind that you have to fit together just right, and that interfere with access by catching on things, rather than the nice smooth magnets that are sewn inside the fabric to allow easy in and out access. I would be happy to work with Baggallini designers to develop a better bag for sophisticated professional travelers! And to promote the outcome.

I'm a mom who's past the diaper bag stage, but I'm not ready to go back to a heavy leather purse. I found this bag and fell in love with it because it closely resembles my favorite purse, but would be lighter and have additional features, such as a water bottle pocket and phone pocket. I watched this bag for months and waited for a summer sale to purchase. I loved nearly everything about about the bag - the design, the size, the color (Stone Heritage), the material, the phone pocket, the key leash, the organization. But I soon realized the water bottle pocket wasn't expandable like many other Baggallini bags, and was way too tight to fit my 16 oz Lifefactory bottle. In fact, I can't see it fitting more than a skinny plastic bottle, a small can of soda, or a travel umbrella. Unfortunately, that is a deal breaker for me and I'm returning the bag. I've been told that I should look into a larger Baggallini if I want an expandable pocket, but I'm not interested in a larger bag. I really wanted this one and am heartbroken to send it back.

Love this bag so much that I bought it in two colors (and the second at full price). I need the space and love all the pockets! It's for someone who carries a lot and loves things organized and easily found. It's also quite light. Great for travel too. Thank you Baggallini!

This bag has been everywhere with me for the last four years. Still looks new after machine washing and is perfect for travel around the world.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 different styles of this bag, However, I have purchased 2 of this particular bag because it has the luggage sleeve lock. This allows the luggage sleeve to double as another pocket without worrying that the zippered bottom could possibly unzip/open and stored items slip out or are lost. And I believe it’s obvious that if I own 3, it must meet all my expectations of a good quality, functional, and appropriately priced product. I recommend this versatile bag to anyone who may need those extra but essential items while on the go.

I just came back from 3 weeks in Europe and used my Modern Everywhere Crossbody Bag and the Carryall Packable Backpack. They were amazing! When we had a day full of walking the backpack added extra room for a jacket or souvenirs. The backpack was great as an extra carryon for the plane ride home. Fantastic quality!

I have an earlier edition of this bag, but it wasn't quite big enough. I love all of the added features with this newest bag. The larger outside pockets are great! The main compartment is bigger which means I'm not trying to cram everything into this space like I did with my older bag. You did a wonderful job of making this bag even more usable.
