The look of this pepper mill is gorgeous and I love the matte finish and smooth wood. However, the wood pieces do not stay aligned as the grinder is used. I just think it's part of the design as I have tried to be sure I'm lining up the two pieces after filling it with peppercorns. It works and looks so pretty I am willing to put up with a little misalignment.
