Canon PIXMA TS7720 Wireless All-In-One Color Inkjet Printer

Quality of photo printing is excellent. Like the dual paper tray feature. Only downside is the cost to replace ink cartridges.

It's ok, but no MG7120. I got this TS7720 under the warranty trade up program from an MG7120 that I had for 10-15 years. I think the printhead finally died in the 7120. The 7720 is OK, but not great. I don't think the print quality is as good and the wireless connectivity is flakey at best. Both connected by wifi or wifi direct to my android phone or windows laptop, it's hard to get it to connect and then stay connected. I did usb to the laptop and the driver installation was honestly, just stupid. It appeared to be doing a lot of "registering" instead of just "installing". It worked fine when it was done, just seemed to have some unnecessary junk in the installation process. I hope the cartridges than came with it are the low volume ones because after printing 6 4x6 photos & 8 letter sized pages of installation instructions to a car radio, it's down to about 75% ink left. It'll get expensive at that rate. I don't have any photos from the MG7120 to compare exactly to the 7720, but looking at the quality of the ones I've printed so far from the 7720, I do not think they appear as good as I got from the MG7120. Also, just examining the engineering between the two, the MG7120 always appeared to be engineered and built like a "fine German auto" while this 7720 appears to be more on par w/ your typical HP disposable printer. And, btw, I updated the fw on the 7720 and all drivers and apps on the android and on the windows laptop are up to date. Also, I'm in IT so I deal with this stuff every day, so I'm thinking if I have problems with it, I feel sorry for someone who might not have as much experience in it.

Constantly having problems connecting to the printer. Have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling. This is the worst Canon printer that i have owned.

Although the printer works, it was very problematic getting it working correctly. Better set-up instructions are needed.

Bought this recently and am happy with it so far. I did a fair amount of research before buying this printer and for the price point it fits what I need. This is actually my first Canon printer and I just need a basic printer for home that we can occasionally use to scan documents. Print quality and speed are both quite good... better than my previous other brand printer. Only issue I have had with with printer, like a number of other reviewers I've read across various platforms, setting up the Wi-Fi was quite laborious - for clarification, I had no serious issues connecting the printer to the Wi-Fi... I could not get the printer to connect to any of my computers; that was the problem. I am a Mac user but that was not the issue. I tried for hours and hours, and over a day or two (off and on) and then I finally remembered something some other reviewer had said... the printer didn't like their Mesh Wi-Fi system, so I switched the printer over to my single Wi-Fi router (provided by my internet provider) and I was able to get 2 different MacBook Pro's connected to the printer in about 10 seconds - no joke.

Set up was easy and copies and scans are being made.

I bought this as a small-job home.office limited-use tool and it hasn't performed as I'd hoped. It doesn't connect to the internet or my computer without rebooting every day. It spins and "processes" for really long periods of time. The ink cartridges run empty really quickly. It's a time suck to get it to work when I need to and invariably doesn't work when I don't have time to get it to work. I've been pretty disappointed with it.

This printer is never working. It is on but I constantly get a "cannot connect to this printer". I am always having to restart it. I can't use any of the features like scan to computer, phone or email, none of them work. I have downloaded all the software but nothing works. Also, why do I need 10 pieces of software to work a printer? This is the most complicated printer. Save your money and get something else. I will NEVER buy Canon again!!!

I regret that I purchased this printer. My last Canon printer finally died after 11 years. Did a bit of online searching and ordered the TS7720, because of the brand, price, and reasonably good reviews. The first thing I noticed is that Canon is now Big Brother, watching everything I print. Second, I find the ability to customize print settings for odd sized papers are very limited, and print menus are not as robust as older generation Canon printers. Paper jams occur almost every time I print. Once the jam is cleared, it takes an extraordinarily long time for the printer to process that it was cleared, and then to reprint the document. Very disappointed, I've trusted the Canon brand for years. Would not recommend this printer to a friend or family member.
