Own 3 of these, two of which are 4 years old. No issues, although the use of black tubing makes it challenging to ensure the rubber seals are properly seated when assembling. "Wrinkles" for lack of a better term cause some crimping/ collapsing of some channels near the valve fitting which probably affect the flow rate, but even so we have to bypass them by late afternoon on a really hot day as the temp exceeds 92 C in our 10 ft Intex pool. They're not perfect but they work!!
