Clarins Self-Tan Gel Face and Body Tanner, 4.5 oz.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Clarins self tan for my face for years but when my latest subscription came and I saw that they'd changed it, I was really disappointed. I took it on holiday and it was awful. I could always trust that the self tan would make my skin feel and look amazing but the new product made my skin look horrible. I didn't feel confident at all and I had to use another product. I would not recommend and I will be cancelling my subscription. Why do beauty companies do this?? Not impressed at all.

Very easy to blend

I have been using this product for about 20 years and would never use anything else . I couldn’t believe it when I purchased my latest one a couple of weeks ago . It doesn’t smell nice , it seems really watery and sticky and doesn’t apply the same any more . Why on earth would you change something that’s obviously a customer favourite to a product that’s now disappointing. I need to now look for a replacement after all these years ?

Ive been using the Clarins Instant tanning gel for years but the new ‘Express’ formula is awful! Goes on streaky, patchy & uneven, doesn’t tan any quicker than previous formula as takes hours/overnight, the gel is sticky & you certainly cant get dressed until dried over a long time. I will be looking to find an alternative tanning gel to replace this product! Why on earth was the formula changed when the previous one was great & easy to apply ???!!!

I have used Clarins self tan gel for nearly 20 years - one of my favourite beauty products. I cannot believe they have changed to the new formula! I agree with all the poor reviews here. It is sticky, smells unpleasant, is difficult to apply and results in awful streaks and patches. It is very expensive but results in the worst self-tan look possible. I am SO disappointed about this and will now need to find a replacement - not by Clarins. I really hope that Clarins listen to their loyal customers about this.

I noticed a lot of bad reviews about the new formula for the gel self tanner. However, I feel like it works much better than the other formula. It goes on easier and it lasts longer. I really like it a lot.

We all love the previous gel but not this one!!!! Please don’t say it’s the same formula - it’s a totally different feel. It doesn’t dry the same and is patchy and the colour feels different. Everyone I know who has tried this new “fresh” one is saying the same. I’m sorry to say I am going to have to change brands if you don’t continue with the original gel. Listen to your customers!!!! Thank you

I’m very disappointed with the new one as it leaves some patches on the body. I’m not going to buy it again. I loved the old one.
