Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Whey is hard to beat in terms of the balance between calorie-to-protein ratio, cost, and overall taste and mixability. It's the gold standard for a reason, and it's clear from how well it supports my high-protein diet. I highly recommend the milk chocolate flavor to anyone interested.
It’s not too sweet, which makes it perfect for drinking every day. I was a little shocked by how huge the tub was at first, but it’s actually more convenient and easier to use than the bag-type packaging. I’m really happy to have found such a good protein powder!
The recent addition of both Sucralose and Maltodextrin makes this whey horrific. Not only are those additives garbage, it is now unbearably sweet. I picked this protein powder 100% because it did not have artificial sweeteners. They are terrible for you. Real sugar or honey is the way to go. Disappointed. Luckily, the retailer I purchased from has a 100% satisfaction guarantee and will return.
Great flavor and great value! NSF certification too!
Their newest flavor Iced Café Latte is incredible. Best tasting protein shake I've ever had. And as typical with Optimum, it mixes soooooo easy. Although I drink their extreme milk chocolate quite often when I'm looking for something sweet, my daily go to in the morning has been Dymatize Dunkin Cappuccino.... until now. This will be my new daily go to. Not too strong on the coffee flavor. Perfect with milk. Great job Optimum. Now hopefully you'll make a larger container of it to bring the cost down, and expand the stores that carry it. A 5 lb container or a 10 lb bag would be great... just saying.
Low sugar, low taste. Not too strong. Perfect additive to a bigger shake.
I'll bet I've used this for more than 30 years. Always great.
Bring back the salted caramel flavor. Can't understand why you went away from it.
Mocha Cappuccino definitely comes out smooth with water or milk added to it. I also added some tiramisu espresso powder to my protein powder of this flavor to make it more coffee tasting as the smooth flavors are almost not noticeable. After two Delallo instant espresso powder containers it tastes wonderfully balanced to my palate. I'm not sure if other people would benefit from two containers as it can be strong but the blend seems to work really well for me.
Way overpriced, protein powder isn’t made from gold! Ridiculous!
