Eufy S3 Pro Outdoor Solar-Powered 4K Wireless Security Camera

Bought this camera to replace one of my older cameras that would no longer solar charge. Picture quality is awesome and detection range is much better

Replaced a eufycam 2C with the S3 Pro and the difference in image quality was amazing. I was initially concerned that the built-in solar panel would not maintain the charge, but it keeps the camera fully charged with only a few hours of direct sunlight.

The S3 is a great camera with only one drawback. Because it is powered by battery and solar, it limits the amount of time that it will record a video before stopping. This makes some situations less than ideal, especially for scenarios where the camera doesn't record often, so when it does you want it to capture everything for as long as possible. Ideally, you would be able to by-pass this setting with the understanding that the battery might get depleted and you will no longer have camera coverage until it's recharged by the Sun.

Now I know exactly when my pets want to come inside.

Didn't realize i needed a whole new set up. Thought this cam would work with the home base if have. Guess I'll use it in the future.

Great quality camera can't wait to see up the rest I have.

Quite shortly after purchase my S3 Pro (along with 6 other eufy cameras and doorbell) were lost in the Palisades Fire. On the plus side I got to see embers blowing around my house and ashes swirling on the garage cam.

i thought the image was frozen from earlier in the day because the image was so bright when it was extremely dark out. very happy.

I’d like to know if it is compatible with the solar panel add on I had been using for my older eufycam 2 which this is replacing. It does not seem to have the same connector. Is there a part I need for this to work with an older solar cam. The new unit does have a built in solar panel but since the older panel is already installed in that spot I thought I’d try to connect it.
