Clarks Women's Cloudsteppers Solevana Step Slip On Sneakers

The shoes are very comfortable, wide, breathable, and cushioning. Really happy I bought them .

I've noticed over the years that the quality of Clarks shoes has been slipping. I still have been buying them though as they have been the only brand where I could order the same size across different styles and they'd fit. That is until this pair. I noticed the minute I took them out of the box that they looked kind of small so I checked the label on the box and in the shoe, but both were marked my size. I tried them on and my big toe painfully jammed up against the end. I knew there was no way I could wear these. I held them up against all the Clarks shoes I have and they are about 1/4 shorter than any of them. A size should be a size should be a size. Especially if it's the same company. They are definitely summer shoes. The sides have a cut out like sandals and they are extremely lightweight and flexible. Almost like water shoes. If they had got the sizing right I would have kept them.

Very lightweight with no arch support. Mesh toe box reminds of shoes I bought to go into the water on a very rocky beach. I am returning them.
