They washed and dried easily as per manufacturer instructions. The hang well with just enough light filtration. Not sheer enough to see through but let sunlight brighten a room to a certain degree. My backroom is next to a covered patio so I don't want complete blackout curtains especially in the summer when I need to have some natural light filtering in. I'm not a huge bird fan, but the colors are exactly what I have been looking for for my living room. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about them, but they are great curtains and are made very well. No loose seems or strings and they are a nice weight, they block a lot of light but not all which is exactly what I was looking for. I think if maybe you are on th fence like I was I say take th chance because now that I have them hung I do think they are beautiful.
