The laces are tricky but if you lace over and under with each cris cross of the lace, they don't loosen( the lace is long enough to do this. Although I am a 5 1/2 in closed toe shoes, I purchased the 5 (my toes are short) and they look perfect.
I bought these for graduation, they fit true to size and are cute, but no matter how I tie them they do not feel secure or comfortable.
