Cuisinart Stainless Steel 6" Smashed Burger Press

I've used these when cooking for others or as a line cook. It's both good and bad as the weight that speeds the cook time also squashes juice our, but for the well done lovers and when a rush is needed it does the deed. Personally I like med rare and juicy thick burgers so I opt out of using these on my food and ignore the backlash of ruining the meat. Some folk want it like that. To each their own and the customer or one eating it is always right even if I disagree. Its definitely a must have because it is a life saver, but be warned tou may be scolded politely I'd hope.

I have used this for many things, like for a burger press, for bacon as well as for tortillas when we make them homemade! They also work good for cookies to make them flat and it is absolutely a staple in our home. I have purchased these as gifts for Fellow chef friends, and they also use them consistently would definitely recommend to anyone.

This press is just what I needed for my smash burgers on the griddle. You want to be sure you use some parchment as it will stick otherwise. But it has a nice gripping handle so it won't get hot when your pressing down. Cleans easily either by hand or in dishwasher.

I found this Cuisinart burger press a great tool for helping me cook the most superb tasting burgers. It has a good weight to it, not too heavy which is my favorite part, because I like having ultimate control the thickness of the patties. The wooden handle is a nice touch, and helped keep the handle from becoming hot. What i end up with is a juicy burger patty, with the most flavorful crust. I also have to compliment the smooth, stainless steal finish, because it was not only easy to clean, but it kept the delicious crust from sticking to it. Also, a great help for pressing grilled sandwiches and bacon. Definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Cuisinart Stainless Steel Smashed Burger Press is well made and looks nice with the wooden handle. It feels heavy and solid, so it smashes the burgers evenly and doesn’t feel like it will break. I like that the press is really large and can be used on larger amounts of meat. This is also useful to make Korean sweet pancakes. A burger press is not a necessity but definitely is more convenient and less annoying than trying to use a spatula. I didn’t like that the cardboard packaging was attached with two dots of glue that took a lot of time to remove from the burger press (I had to use some oil and soap to rub it off). I wish that the press was dishwasher safe since it is used on oily meat and I don’t want to hand wash that many things after grilling. Overall, this burger press is great and much better than trying to smash with a spatula.
