R & M Richards Petite Cowl Neck Printed Midi Dress

Dress is nice. Scarf pictured with dress was missing and is essential to cover shoulders and meet strict dress code for wedding. There is an empty clear pouch attached to dress. Must be where the scarf was supposed to be. Will be returning.

While I loved the colors, fabric, and overall style of the dress—which were perfect for a mid-evening garden wedding I attended—I was disappointed with the design of the armholes. The armpits were cut extremely low, which made the dress impractical to wear as designed. Consequently, I had to take the dress to a professional tailor to have the armholes raised by 2 inches. Unfortunately, raising the armholes altered the drape of the cowl neck and shortened the overall length of the dress. Because I liked the print and fabric so much, I chose to keep the dress and cover the cost of the alterations myself. However, I wanted to reach out and share this experience, as the excessively deep armholes compromised the fit and required costly modifications to make the garment wearable. I hope the R & M Richard design team will take this feedback into consideration to ensure more practical and consistent sizing in future collections as I like their collection. (The dress I purchased was size 8 petite.) Thank you for your time and attention.

I will have to return this dress to Macys it’s just too loud for the grandmother of the groom 😞
