Its the perfect length to drape over a couch and your bed. I would use it as a secondary blanket to cover my lower body towards my feet. Its great to keep me warm especially during these cold weather. The weight of the blanket has a comfortable weight without being heavy. I haven't notice much shedding but it is a color that is hard to tell. I really like it. I would continue to use this in my household.
