Eufy C31 Smart Wi-Fi 2K Wired or Wireless Motion-Activated Video Doorbell

Works great and install was easy. Very happy with the purchase.

Very good camera and is nice to now have doorbell also. Had to put little sign on button (push).

I have a love hate relationship with Eufy cameras! I love their cameras options! I have several types for my unique layout. My hate is each time the home base “updated generation “ something is always missing! Home base 3 missing home kit integrations. Home base pro is not yet compatible with several of my cameras! Hopefully and update will cure cameras issue but I gave up on legacy cameras being integrated to home kit without some type of jack!

This doorbell has some good features like motion sensors that work pretty well.

Still runs off battery and wires only trickle charge.

I upgraded to this device since I wanted the 4 second pre-roll. My previous Eufy doorbell (T8210) did not have the pre-roll feature and would sometimes miss the event that triggered the recording. This issue with the C31 is that it is too sensitive. The slightest breeze, raindrops or snowflakes will trigger the device to record. I have set it on the lowest sensitivity level and set up activity zones but it still continues to detect and record almost constantly. I never had this issue with my previous Eufy doorbell camera. The only way to stop the C31 from detecting the erroneous events is to set it to only detect humans, pets and vehicles. The issue is that the device will often incorrectly identify what it is seeing and not record at all. This is especially an issue at night.

Still struggling with the phone app, but the doorbell went up easily enough.

The wired doorbell was a breeze to install. With my original doorbell being on a side wall, the included 15degree wedge allows me to see my door as well as the walkway up to my front door without issue. The video resolution is absolutely amazing, and the audio pickup is surprisingly good as well. I love being able to communicate with someone at the door through my phone! Lastly, this pairs well with the S380 homebase because the homebase emits the doorbell sound when you press it from the outside. No need to buy a separate chime if you have the homebase. Love this video doorbell!!

Its so much better to have a doorbell ring that you can control fully and record your videos internally instead of having to but a cloud based service. Plus if you have other cameras connected to the same network then you have all your notifications and access in one same app. The only thing to be aware of is the installation, i had issues trying to properly install the camera to the existing doorbell ring because it is much better to have it plugged and record a bigger video than to use the battery and charge it once in a while but the instructions on how to install may not provide all the possible scenarios for each type of house. The only advise i can provide is to play with different set ups for the bypass inside the house where the transformer is because thats how i got it to work without the battery pack.

This doorbell is great! I am going to purchase homebase and floodlight cameras this week!
