[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a wide range of B-R luggage sizes and types. When they came out with this new size, it was an easy decision to add it. It’s just right for a few nights away when you need several different types of clothing. I’d been using the medium spinner which is great but I appreciate the smaller size of this new one.
I bought the larger version of this bag for a month-long trip overseas, and it was excellent. It is a bit large for shorter trips, though. This new slightly smaller version has all the same great features but on a more manageable scale. I love it.
Not too big and not too small. I fit enough clothes and shoes for a week long vacation. Although, the check-in size packing cubes helped. This spinner is well worth the money for size, durability, and workmanship.
I gave it a 4 because I havenʻt taken it out for a test drive yet. The features I Love…unique 24” size (smaller than most mediums), hang garments, expanding feature is fancy and significantly enlarges the suitcase. I said fancy because when you expand it the front wheels pull out too which improves balance. Never saw that before. It hilds a lot and the. Tou expand it an WOW. Itʻs so deep. Little disappointed that there is not a built in TSA lock. Itʻs a beautiful suitecase. Based on friends recommendations pf Briggs and Riley, I am believing the quality will justify the price because itʻs not cheap. Iʻll let you lnow after my big trip.
For the amount of money I spent over the years on suitcases which eventually failed, I could have purchased Briggs& Riley and saved money over the long run. I have a 22 inch carry on which I usually check and have now purchased a larger bag for longer trips. Definitely worth the initial cost.

After years of traveling with a medium size case or just a carry on, I've found the perfect combo in one--not too small, not too large or cumbersome and, it has a deep interior that fits cubes very nicely--
I purchased this along with the matching cabin spinner and it changed traveling forever!! I can’t tell you how many people commented on how much simpler my system looked than their own, including my travel partner. The glide, the packing space, the stackable concept ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I travelled Jet blue and the cabin spinner fit perfectly under the seat in front of me and was perfect for my international travels! This set is by far my favorite purchase of 2026 thus far and I can’t wait to use it more.
I bought the 21” expandable ZDX because it has an exterior handle so the interior packing area is flat and fully 8 inches deep. This matters to me because, with a flat suitcase bottom, I don’t lose 1-1/2 inches of interior depth because the rods don’t intrude into the bottom of the bag . Also I really like that my packed items stay in place and are neat when I open the bag at my destination because there aren’t any rods which stick into the bag which prevents tight packing and prevents my bag contents from shifting during transit. I like packing the bag so it’s full and neat and opening it and it’s still full and neat, not with the contents shifted and a mess every time you move it. This flat packing accommodates my whole stack of packing folders on one side of of the bag and leaves room for all of my other stuff on the other side of the bag. I really like that the bag is wider (15 inches) and shorter (21 inches) rather than a standard 22 inch x 14 inch wide bag. Besides accommodating my 15-inch long packing folders sideways (which maximizes packing space) this shorter height makes it easier for me to maneuver the bag as a shorter person. I really like how smooth the rolling wheels are and the bag rolls straight (unlike so many other brands) and very smooth, especially over thresholds such as from tile to escalator or elevator to carpet without catching. I also like that the retractable handle locks at 1/2 height (great for a shorter person!). The ZDX expandable is 2 pounds lighter than the Baseline expandable and allows my packed case to be a little lighter weight which is good for hoisting up into busses and trains.
This bag is everything I expected from Briggs and Riley. Exceptional quality.
